Reminder for non-residents and vacillators *

* people who swing both ways

Well, compared to our woes of earlier this year, things are going positively swimmingly as regards accommodation.

All 15 places at the YHA have been reserved (by way of deposit payment), and in turn this means we’re shaping up to have very healthy numbers for the choir. But more about that later.

We’ve been lucky enough to find contingency accommodation for any stragglers (up to about 6 places) but here’s a reminder:

  • if you are making your own residential arrangements you need to have done this by now - I can tell you first hand that St David’s is getting booked up fast
  • if you are planning to come but haven’t signed up/paid up - we may be able to squeeze you in at the other hostel but at this stage there are no guarantees I’m afraid

What’s up next then Reader?

Well, first up I intend to have lots of fun further adorning this site with more pictures and music clips.

I then intend to add “profiles” of everyone coming to sing by way of introducing you to one another (especially the strangers amongst us), perhaps including some interesting facts for talking points when we finally gather on 23rd August. (if you’d rather not be part of this shout up now!)

I also want to instigate more of a discussion about music choices and other options for the weekend. All the important stuff about beach visits and whether to advance-book a mini-bus for the 16 mile trip to the nearest Indian restaurant.

Not really about the St David’s weekend, but I thought I would use the blog to advertise my charity golf event next week. I’ll be playing 4 rounds of golf in one day to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. If you’d like to sponsor me, please visit my website at http://www.justgiving.com/4rounds

Whilst I appreciate Mr Reeder posting a user picture of me that makes it appear that a tenor stands some chance of pulling a real life woman, rather than one that requires a puncture repair kit.

I should explain that the only reason I was allowed in such close proximity to a woman is that the woman in question is a lesbian.

I tried to explain to her that I shared the sexual preferences of a lesbian, but she was sadly having none of it!
