Having pictured a weekend in London with leisurely strolls in Hyde park, ice creams in Leicester Square and sunglasses shopping on Oxford Street, you can imagine the rude awakening we had this bank holiday weekend.
According to some reports, Alaska was warmer than London yesterday.
No matter, for in the faith of karma, I believe the foul weather of this bank holiday weekend is the trade-off for a sun spectacular in August. You heard it here first.
